Lesson 3: Managing, protecting, and sharing OER

So far you have been introduced to what OERs are, where they can be found, and how to create, remix, and modify them. As research confirms, the most common issue of open educational resources is the understanding of copyright and open license principles and the assignation of an appropriate license for self-created or modified resources. In this last lesson, you will learn how to manage, protect, and share self-created or collaboratively created OERs in virtual learning environments. You will be introduced to copyright restrictions to use, re-use and modify digital resources, ensuring the appropriate reference of the source and attribution. Finally, some recommendations on how to share OERs will be provided.
